How to display full email headers in different mail clients

Apple Mail

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Click View → Message → All Headers.

 

Mozilla Thunderbird

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Click View → Message Source.

 

Microsoft Outlook 2016

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Click File and then Properties.

 

Windows Mail

Unfortunately, you can not view the full email headers in this program. You will only see the cut version.

  1. Open the message.
  2. Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner → Save as. Select Desktop and click Save.
  3. Right-click on the saved file → Open with → Notepad. (If you did not see the notepad, click → Choose another application and select Notepad.)

 

The Bat

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Right-click the body of the email and select “View Source” option.

 

Opera Mail

  1. Click the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Right-click the body of the email and select View All Headers and Message.

 

Microsoft Outlook 2013

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Click File and then Properties.

 

Microsoft Outlook 2010

  1. Open the email you want to see the headers for.
  2. Click File and then Properties.

 

 

Microsoft Outlook 2007

Right-click on the email you want to see the headers for and select “Message Options”.

Right-click the message you want → Options
