How to add an additional domain to a hosting control panel

First of all, you have to ensure that your current plan allows you to create additional domains in your control panel. In case you have reached the limit of additional domains on your plan, you can always buy the “Additional domain” service through the order form.

DirectAdmin

  1. Go to your client area to the “Services – My Services” section and click the “Open DirectAdmin” button;
  2. The DirectAdmin panel will be opened. Go to the “Account Manager” section and click the “Domain Setup” button;
  3. Click the “Add New” button (you can see how many domains you can add within your plan if you move your cursor over this button);
  4. A new window where you can specify the following information will be opened:
    • Domain – domain name must be typed in like domain.com, without http:// or www;
    • Bandwidth – set the limit of the bandwidth that can be used by this domain;
    • Disk Usage – set the limit of disk space that can be used by this domain;
    • Secure SSL – allows you to install the SSL certificates for this domain;
    • CGI Access – allows you to process CGI scripts under this domain;
    • PHP Access – allows you to process PHP scripts under this domain;
  5. After all the information is specified, click the “Create” button.

cPanel

  1. Go to your client area to the “Services – My Services” section and click the “Open cPanel” button;
  2. The cPanel will be opened. Go to the “Domains” section and click the “Create A New Domain” button;
  3. Enter the domain name, and uncheck “Share document root”. All fields will be filled in automatically;
  4. After filling in the fields, click on the “Submit” button.

ISPmanager

  1. Go to your client area to the “Services – My Services” section and click the “Open ISPmanager” button;
  2. The ISPmanager panel will be opened. You can add an additional domain by going to the section “WWW – WWW-domains – Add”;
  3. Enter your domain in the “Name” field, the rest of the data will be filled in automatically, click the “Ok” button. You can change the data if necessary;
  4. When adding a domain, you can change:
    • If necessary, specify aliases – additional names that will be used to access the WWW domain;
    • Specify the administrator’s email address – the email address that will be displayed on the web server error pages for the WWW domain;
    • Domain IP addresses – set the default, if the account does not have a dedicated IP address;
    • Index page – file names, which are listed in descending order of importance. If this field is not filled in, the default values of the web server will be used;
    • Encoding – specify the encoding of the site. If the field is not filled in, the default will be “utf8” encoding;
    • Indicate the required PHP version in the drop-down list.

Plesk

  1. Go to your client area to the “Services – My Services” section and click the “Open Plesk” button;
  2. The Plesk panel will be opened. Go to the “Websites & Domains” section and click the button ”Add Domain”;
  3. Enter the domain name and path to the folder where its content will be stored. Also, you can choose the preferred address (your domain or it’s www-alias) and set the Let’s Encrypt certificate for your domain.;
  4. After making changes, click the button “OK”.

The domain will be added if you have enough quota for this.
